The Chester Municipal Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization made up of local businesses, professionals and community groups. Rural business operators face significantly more challenges then their urban counterparts. Becoming a member of the Chamber of Commerce demonstrates an understanding of the value of working together for the common good. Membership shows that people working together can address their concerns. The Chester Municipal Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1935 as the (Chester Board of Trade). It encompasses a large service area composed of the following communities in the Municipality of the District of Chester: Hubbard's, Fox Point, Mill Cove, Northwest Cove, Aspotogan, Bayswater, Blandford, Deep Cove, East River, East Chester, Chester, Marriott's Cove, Middle River, Windsor Rd., Canaan, Sherwood, Chester Basin, Chester Grant, Sefferville, New Ross, Forties, Beech Hill, Gold River, Western Shore, Martin's River and Martin's Point.
