Centennial Home Renovations Limited was founded in 1981 by Terry Lee (Founder and President of Centennial Windows) who immigrated to Canada from Wales in 1974. Upon emigrating, Terry established himself as a sales representative for a large organization in the renovations industry. His territory covered much of Ontario. Terry gained a great deal of hands on experience with renovations in our harsh Northern climate. In representing these renovations companies however, Terry recognized something was missing. He realized that he was promoting organizations that invested little in the technological development of new products, installation or customer service that he felt was so critical to a company's success. He recognized that with these missing ingredients it was impossible for these organizations, or for him personally, to become as successful and sustainable as he believed they could be. It was in 1981 when Terry's vision of creating a wholly owned Canadian renovations company came to fruition. Centennial would become the company that did more than just market the currently available renovations products; it would become that company he wanted to build. The renovations company that not only understood the market but led it - that would develop the systems to manufacture superior products and resolve the problems with existing products.
