Capital Packers Incorporated, an 82-year-old meat processing company (started in 1929), is located in Edmonton, Alberta. The company is third generation, family owned and privately held, employing approximately 100 skilled workers,The evolution of the company includes its beginnings as an abattoir. Critical success in the company's history was obtained when it became licensed as a federal processor (of processed and smoked meats), in the early 1960's. The plant was HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) certified, July 2003 and is SQF (Safe Quality Food)
