In 1984, CAP Solar Pumps Ltd. was started under the name of Canadian Ag-technology Partners (CAP) and was (and still is) based in Olds, Alberta, Canada. The company's core business is solar water pumping technology for the agricultural market, particularly in areas where conventional grid power is not readily available. International projects have been completed in countries such as Barbados, St. Lucia, Bolivia, and Zimbabwe. In addition, over one thousand systems have been distributed throughout Canada and into the United States.
