Description

Canerector is a multi-divisional company focused on metal fabrication and erection. It is owned by the Hawkins family, represented by Cecil and his daughter Amanda. Our Corporate Office is based in Toronto, Ontario, but our companies operate across North America and employ over 2,000 people.

All of our constituent firms are operated autonomously by managers with real-world knowledge of their business. We never employ management consultants, and do not “parachute in management”. We prefer to promote from within, employing capable management who have learned the ropes of the industry. Because of this corporate culture, many of the previous owners of companies that we have bought have chosen to continue working with us as division managers.

Over the years, Canerector has developed some fundamental operating principles which set us apart from other multi-divisional organizations. These values focus on enhancing the key parts of our business – our people, our processes, and our products. Their purpose is to encourage a culture of autonomy and enterprise as well as to convey our commitment to each of our firms’ success.
