Candente is a diversified exploration company with projects in Peru and Mexico. Candente's directors have individual track records in both the discovery and development of multi-million ounce gold and silver, and multi-billion pound copper deposits. Candente subscribes to principles which ensure that its exploration and development activities are beneficial to the local communities. Candente was co-founded in 1997 by Joanne Freeze and Fredy Huanqui after their involvement in the discovery of the Pierina mine in Peru. The Company became publicly-traded in Vancouver on the TSX-Venture Exchange in May of 2000, graduated to the Toronto Stock Exchange in November 2004,and listed on the Lima Stock Exchange (BVL) February 2007. Candente has several Copper, Gold, and Silver prospects in Peru and one in Mexico. Our number one focus is Canariaco, a Copper deposit in Northern Peru where drilling and feasibility studies are underway to both expand the known deposit and advance to production for late 2009 or 2010.
