Description

Canbar is a manufacturer of fiberglass drums and processors used in the leather tanning and collagen production industries. Our equipment is used worldwide and marketed through our independent sales agent network.

We also supply wood stave pipelines and penstocks for hydro electric projects, and wood stave holding tanks and scrubbers for the mining and manufacturing industries.

The company is also a manufacturer of rotationally moulded polyethylene tanks and containers, in sizes ranging from five gallons to four thousand gallons.



Environmental Profile

Canbar Inc. is Canada's only wood stave pipe manufacturer. Located in Breslau, Ontario the company provides wood stave pipe systems for irrigation, industrial, and potable water supply, as well as hydroelectric power generating plant applications all over North America and the Caribbean.


Pipelines can be constructed from 18" in diameter to 18' in any desired length. The materials are shipped to their destination in a knocked-down form and erected on site under the direction of a Canbar supervisor. Generally, no heavy construction machinery is required either for site preparation or for erection of the pipeline. Simple hand tools are sufficient.


Customers have included: Gananoque Light and Power, Jones Falls, Ontario; Great Lakes Power in Wawa, Ontario; Niagara Mohawk Power in Schuylerville, New York; St. Vincent Electricity in St. Vincent, West Indies; Dominica Electricity in Dominica, West Indies as well as major pulp and paper companies where the wood stave pipe in used for the discharge of corrosive liquids.
