New listings for Canadian writing-related Conferences is being developed. We're grateful for your input. Due to post-operative illness, coupled with the sheer volume of work, the publishing schedule of the CWJ is too seriously behind to catch up. And it is too well-loved to disappear. We appreciate the heart-felt calls and letters of support. And it's taken quite a lot longer than I thought to pull it all together into a coherent plan again. But here it is. All of the Short Fiction winners from 2006-2010 are in Choice Works 15 In lieu of issues I cannot even begin to track now, the subscription portion of the prize will have the option of two extra copies of Choice Works 15 ($18.95 x 2 does not equal the $35 for subcritpion, but seems fair.) or possibly two copies of the Canadian Writers' Contest Calendar. We'll be contacting you all to see what your wishes are. As for the magazine, we have made some preliminary decisions. We will simply mailing the issue bearing the Volume 20 #1 February 2003 demarcation. The next issue will be Volume 20 #2, October, 2010, Vol 20 #3 will come in December 2010, and and then we begin bi-monthly producttion for Vol. 21 on our original Feb, April, June, Aug, Oct, and December production in 2011. The Canadian Writers' Contest Calendar 2011 will list Canadian writing contests and book awards for the year 2011 arranged by deadline date. If you think that you'd ever have time to write and still know where to find all this information, collect it, and organize it, call me. Anyone who says they could compile all of this on their own,has never tried to do it. To get an idea of how extensive our database has become, have a look at last year's Table of Contents for the 2010 Edition here . As of Nov 16, 2009, we now CAN accept MasterCard and Visa at the office, either by phone, fax or by mail. It's listed as an option for the CWCC on the order form. We are still working to implement the on-line processing, but it is coming. Just a note to say thank you for providing a Canadian contest calendar for writers.
