Welcome to the website of Canadian Light Source Inc. (CLS), Canada’s national synchrotron research facility. Over the last few decades, synchrotron radiation has developed into an invaluable scientific tool for research in areas as diverse as  archeology, materials research, earth sciences,  and biomedical research, to name a few, and a rapidly growing number of researchers from academia as well as from industry now use synchrotron techniques.
