Metal recycling since 1937, Canada Iron and Metal is a third generation owned family business dedicated to keeping the streets of Toronto clean of metal debris. We recycle thousands of tons of metal and other recyclable materials that otherwise would end up as trash in landfills or in our lakes and rivers, causing unnecessary pollutants entering our environment. Canada Iron recycles secondary metals such as steel, cast iron, copper, brass, aluminum, zinc, and coures. With our highly trained staff and state-of-the-art materials handling equipment, we provide a useful service toward the community and, are a necessary link in the "consumer chain". People are looking for solutions for a safer and better world for others to live in. The scrap industry is part of this solution. Without our recycling operations, the amount of waste going to Toronto's dumps would rise by 50 percent. Every day, commercial recyclers handle as much material in a day as the blue box program does in a week.
