Cameleon Informatique & Robotique Inc. operates in the field ofinformation technology and, more specifically, micro-robotics.
The company specializes in designing and marketing software andelectronic equipment aimed mainly at teaching applications at thegrade school and high school levels.

With its various products, Cameleon presently covers three marketsegments. They are in fact, three types of applications cateringto different needs:

1 - Technology education:

Technology education demonstrates automation concepts throughautomated control application examples. Technology educationclasses simulate real situations taken from every day life. Someexamples are: traffic light, escalator, mini-factory control,
temperature control, etc..

2- Robotics as a teaching tool:

Robotics makes it possible to teach concepts otherwise tooabstract to demonstrate. Applications presented in variousteaching guides aim at introducing math notions (examples:
geometry, algebra, etc...), as well as physics and electricitynotions. Such an approach is especially successful among potential dropout clienteles.

3- Computer education:

High-school level computer classes are also perfectly suited forthe use of robotic interfaces and software. They provide a meansfor demonstrating programming and/or logic exercises.

The company, founded nearly 10 years ago, is well established inits field. Cameleon products can be found throughout the entireprovincial school system. Faced withthe important rise ofcomputer-related teaching tools across all Canadian provinces, in
Western countries in general, and in some Eastern countries,
Cameleon has recently started to expand its coverage of the North
American and European markets.
