Call-A-Service Incorporated provides transportation to seniors and permanently disabled adults who live in the Old East York and Southwest Scarborough catchment area and are unable to use public transit because of physical and/or mental limitations. Our brochure contains more detailed information about the program. Please refer to our newsletter for recent changes and new developments. Our fleet of vehicles consists of four vans and two sedans. Service is provided by both staff and volunteer drivers. A nominal fee is charged and the rates are set based on the distance travelled. If a client requires an escort to accompany him/her to the appointment, an additional fee of $1.00 each way is charged. Priority is given to clients requesting transportation to medical appointments, but the service also includes rides to and from adult day programs, grocery and personal shopping trips, outings and rides to and from Harmony Hall for program participants. To be eligible for this service you must be registered with the Transportation Department.
