OUR MISSION CHSLD Bayview is a residence for adults who require assistance and support in their activities of daily living. We are dedicated to provide a secure and caring environment for residents and their families. CHSLD Bayview is a private, long-term care facility under contract to the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services. Bayview is located on the shores of Lake St. Louis in the West Island community of Montreal and was founded in 1956 by the Samatas family. In June 1989, construction was completed on the current facility which provides a home for 128 residents. Bayview Centre has four living areas, one of which is specific for residents with cognitive deficits. There are thirty-two residents per floor. On each floor, you will find a nursing station, a dining room and a small resident ’s lounge. The rooms are private with the exception of one semi private room per floor. Each room is equipped with a call bell directly connected to a nursing station, an adapted bed, a dresser and night table. We encourage each resident to personalize their room with their own pictures, bedspread and personal items.
