Dover Corporation (NYSE: DOV) today announced that it has acquired Harbison-Fischer, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of down-hole rod pumps and related products, for $402.5 million, subject to normal closing adjustments. Based in Crowley, Texas, Harbison-Fischer will become part of Norris Production Solutions ("NPS"). NPS is an operating unit within Dover's Fluid Management segment, and a leading manufacturer and provider of integrated products and solutions across the artificial lift spectrum for oil & gas production.
Our ability to combine TAGC's premium oilfield services with the NPS artificial lift product offerings will provide our customers with a broader product line along with enhanced technical service capabilities for their rod pump solutions and will further differentiate us within the market. Our long-standing commitment to provide our customers with complete solutions to their artificial lift needs is greatly enhanced by the addition of the TAGC organization. TAGC brings experienced operations crews which service both conventional and coiled sucker rod wells.
