Our research shows real assets are an essential component of any portfolio.

Our specialty lending activities include event driven bridge loans and other specialty debt finance solutions tailored to meet the needs of mid-market companies. We have committed over $5 billion of bridge loan capital and provided funding for acquisition and growth transactions, buy-outs, monetization or leveraging of assets, recapitalizations and refinancing and interim capital solutions. Our minimum loan size is $20 million.

Brookfield owns, operates and manages approximately $40 billion of infrastructure assets spanning renewable power and transmission, transportation, and energy. We have extensive experience in North and South America, the United Kingdom and Europe, and Australasia.

In 2007, we acquired a leading commercial office portfolio, real estate services and construction business that was founded in Australia, but had operations around the world. The portfolio included 16 premier office buildings in three major Australian cities. In 2009, we purchased a diverse portfolio of critical infrastructure assets including ports, railways, and energy transmission/distribution. In 2011, we launched two funds in India with local partners, focused on infrastructure and property development.
