Description

Brock Air Services conducted it's first flight in 1978 using a single-engine Piper. Later, It acquired a Piper Twin Comanche, Thus providing its clients with extra speed and the reliability offered by a twin engine aircraft. Having the twin permitted Brock Air to conduct revenue flights not only at night but also under instrument flying conditions. Initially, the Twin Comanche proved to be a wise selection. It was inexpensive to operate and sipped a miserly 15 gallons of fuel per hour. However, as the list of clientele grew so did the demand for larger aircraft. In 1981 Brock Air purchased a Piper Navajo. The aircraft proved to be an instant success with the passengers, pilots and maintenance staff. "Every Client is different. Each has a special need". Brock air recognized that versatility was an important start to customer satisfaction. Just as employees were trained to be multi-functional, so became the Company aircraft. Pilots could return from an executive charter in Baltimore, remove the tables and chairs and slide in the air ambulance configuration. Two hours later they could be flying a patient to northern Ontario. The aircraft was also equipped for priority air freight. Local industry soon caught onto Brock Air's ability to fly a part to a customer faced with the dilemma of an assembly line shut down. Speciality flying was also made possible by the purchase of a single engine aircraft, the Cessna 172 Skyhawk. ...
