Description

The World Border Organization - BORDERPOL is the international border security center dedicated to making borders safer and smarter. Established in March 2003, Borderpol promotes and facilitates co-operation among national border services for the purpose of developing and maintaining 21st century border management systems that effectively and efficiently serve and protect the international community. Borderpol's programs are designed to meet the specific needs of the international border security and border management community. All programs are guided by Borderpol's prime directives which promote global standards and policies to help balance border security and protection requirements with legitimate travel and commerce needs. Borderpol recognizes that many existing international institutions have selective, regional or peripheral interests in border security. However Borderpol strives to be the primary global hub for the development and deployment of technologies and border management information systems. This may include the collection, analysis and production of information associated the movement of goods and persons across borders; the hosting of training programs, conferences and seminars; the co-ordination of multinational border security efforts to reduce opportunities for organized migrant trafficking and expanding the capabilities of border agencies to protect women and minors through more efficient and effective inter service communications and consultations;...
