- The main ingredient in FAKE BAKE is dihydroxyacteone (or DHA as it is commonly referred to) it has been used in the cosmetic industry for over 30 years. It is manufactured from sugar and does not contain any harmful chemicals. It does not contain alcohol like many of the tanning products on the market. Alcohol has a drying effect on the skin. It also contains erythulose which when combined with DHA reduces streaking and miscolouring.
