Description
The Mack Belson Reading Camp is an intensive three week summer reading program with the main goal of helping students acquire appropriate grade level reading skills. This wonderful program has been helping children of all ages with reading difficulties and instills an amazing sense of accomplishment and self worth in these children as they finish the session as true, bonafide "readers"! Along with the sheer delight of these children as they sound out words is the testimonials of grateful parents which is just another indication that we are providing a much needed service in the community.
Headed by Dr. Carly Rosenzweig, the special education department is dedicated to offering flexible and comprehensive professional development services to guide school improvement efforts in supporting the diverse academic needs of all its students.
The Akiva School was founded in 1968 by a group of parents led by Rabbi David Hartman who sought to create a school community that would meet the academic, religious and social-emotional needs of its students. The school is committed to each student's academic success, personal growth and development of Jewish identity. Through a partnership of school and home, we foster a nurturing and collaborative learning environment. We strive to inspire a passion for lifelong learning, an enduring connection to the Jewish people and the State of Israel, and a commitment to making the world a better place.
For over a century, the United Talmud Torahs and Herzliah system has been at the forefront of Jewish education in Montreal. We continue to honour our commitment to providing the highest academic and educational standards within a modern learning environment. We strive to continually reflect the needs of an ever-changing and dynamic Jewish community. Our graduating students are confident individuals, who have the skills to continue at the post-secondary institution of their choice and who are ready to assume leadership roles.
Solomon Schechter Academy is a dynamic Conservative Jewish day school that is dedicated to the sacred task of educating students to become committed Jews and responsible citizens. We serve students from Junior Pre-k through Grade Six. Solomon Schechter Academy strives to provide excellence in Judaic and general studies. Our trilingual curriculum strives for integration in all three departments English, French and Hebrew. Our focus is on the needs and growth of the students in order to foster a lifelong love for and commitment to learning.
