This work builds a healthy community by helping to stop domestic violence, providing affordable housing and by serving people at critical turning points. The Banff Y Mountain Lodge and YWCA of Banff thank you for your support. We are going to be renovating our facilities in 2007 by adding more affordable permanent accommodation. This project addresses the need for housing in the community. We expect minimal interruptions and impact on our guests. However, we'd like to apologize in advance for any inconveniences this construction may cause you throughout your stay with us. Banff National Park is at an altitude of 4,500 feet above sea level and covers 6,641 square-kilometres in western Alberta Canada. The snowcapped peaks of the Canadian Rockies form a spectacular backdrop for glacial lakes, fast-flowing mountain rivers, endless forests, and two of North America's most famous resort towns, Banff and Lake Louise. In the heart of this scenic backdrop is the town of Banff nestled beside the pristine waters of the Bow River. Banff Y Mountain Lodge sits next to the walking trails along the bank of the river.
