We are currently auditioning for our summer programs including our Junior Company and our advanced summer intensives. These programs are an important part of our ongoing development of professional dancers, 13 of our current members entered the company through these programs. Several continue to participate as mentors, coaches and as members of the Junior Company.

In the midst of performances, community engagement and educational programming we continue a busy creative season with an additional two new works slated for completion this spring. Toronto choreographer Hannah Kent has started a new work that will have its initial showcase at our April Ballet In the Studio showings. A second work is underway and will be premiered as part of Digifest hosted by our partner George Brown College in May.

Originally from Kelowna, British Columbia, Cristina Graziano grew up training in both ballet and Scottish Highland Dancing. She has traveled throughout North America, Scotland, and Russia, competing in both disciplines. Cristina has trained on scholarship at the Banff Centre for the Fine Arts, Edmonton School of Ballet, the Universal Ballet Academy in Washington, DC. She completed her final two years of training on full scholarship at the Rock School for Dance Education in Philadelphia, PA.

Bengt Jörgen is the current Artistic Director Producer of Ballet Jörgen Canada and George Brown Dance. He is a winner of the Clifford E. Lee Choreography Award and has created over 30 ballets for numerous ballet and opera companies including the National Ballet of Canada, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the American Ballet Studio Company, the Canadian Opera Company, Opera Hamilton and the Hong Kong Ballet.
