The owners of bale living have spent most of the last decade working in London, Tokyo, Zurich, Singapore and Mumbai, among other cities. In that time, we noticed that many incredible products and ideas never seem to make it back to Canada. The globe is increasingly connected, but not so connected that Canadians always know what's flying off the shelves in London or sold out in Tokyo. So, after years of bringing back fabulously innovative products for our own enjoyment, we decided to set up a company that accomplished this on a grander scale. For example, our Flipper toothbrush and razor holders had already won the reddot design award in Germany, and been sold by the millions all over the world, but they were virtually unknown in Canada until we introduced them at one of our retail outlets. We sold out in two weeks. The same goes for our funky silicone Teaspoons, which due to a remarkable example of word-of-mouth, quickly prompted orders from as far away as Texas and California. One more thing. We understand that tastes differ all over the planet: a hit in Hong Kong can easily be a dud in Toronto. That's why everything we import is tested for three months at malls in the Vancouver area. In short, every product found in our wholesale and corporate gift catalogue is a proven winner.
