Baby Gourmet offers delicious, nutritious, homemade baby foods ideal for the different stages of baby's development. Baby Gourmet's outstanding line of healthy meals contain no preservatives, thickeners or fillers and have been tasted and approved by a focus group of babies and toddlers. Founded by sisters Jennifer Broe and Jill Vos, Baby Gourmet first opened at the Calgary Farmer's Market in February 2006. Broe, a busy mother, had been shopping for baby food for her six-month old. Appalled by the selection in supermarkets - the only baby food available was in jars loaded with fillers, thickeners and additives - she asked herself: "How could I feed my baby something I would never eat myself?" There must be many moms like me, Broe thought, who want only the best for their babies but don't have the time to make it themselves. She realized there was a market for an all-natural, preservative-free, nutritious alternative. Baby Gourmet was born.
