Description
October 26, 2010 In 2011, the Alberta and NWT Chapter of CES is hosting the National conference. The event is a great opportunity to showcase our work as evaluators! There are several opportunities to share with conference participants through workshops and conference presentations. Have you considered becoming a conference sponsor, advertiser or exhibitor? This is yet another way to network with colleagues and clients. For more information, download the prospectus from the supporters page . August 15, 2010 The CES National Conference Planning Committee has been using the long-daylight hours of our Edmonton summer to make Conference 2011 a reality! Our host hotel is The Westin Edmonton located in the city's centre. Our gala evening will be held at the new Art Gallery of Alberta. We are in the process of confirming the plenary speakers who will showcase our theme Generations: a multi-generational approach to evaluation, representing a diversity of experience and perspectives. We are thrilled that one of the "legends" in evaluation, Dr. Robert Stake, will be our keynote speaker. We have finalized our call for pre-conference workshops and conference presentations, and they are now posted on the website! The deadline for workshop proposal submissions is October 25, 2010, and for abstract submissions is November 15, 2010. Please note that these deadlines will not be extended. Also watch for information on how students can be involved. We've got big plans! Plan to join colleagues in Edmonton where you'll find lots to do before and after the conference. If you're curious, please go to www.edmonton.ca . The Canadian Evaluation Society conference is an annual event that brings together evaluators from across the country and around the world to discuss a variety of topics related to all areas of evaluation. Our 2011 theme is Generations: a multigenerational approach to evaluation. Over the past thirty years (one generation) the field of evaluation has changed. This conference will highlight: If you're keen to be involved and would like to volunteer to help plan or execute the conference, please contact the Conference Secretariat at CES@buksa.com .
