Description

Art Jonker, a Vancouver, British Columbia artist, entered the world of painting through an unlikely experience. A spinal cord injury in 1997 left Art with little to no use of his arms or his legs. For a period of years his life was turned upside down and he struggled in search of a career that would be compatible with his disability. A friend put him up to the challenge of drawing with a pencil in his mouth and he not only caught on, but was instantly hooked.
