Supporting Those In Grief Throughout The Holiday Season. VON (Victorian Order of Nurses) is hosting their 17th annual Illuminating Memories Ceremony, An Evening of Remembrance on Wednesday December 1st at 7:00pm. There is something to be said about taking time to remember our loved ones who passed on and something to be said about gathering with like minded people in the Spirit of Christmas. Sharing the comfort of spoken words and uplifting music is what this celebration is all about. Over the years VON has been honored to offer support and care for the families in our community. Through our Transportation, Meals on Wheels, Adult Day (Social) and Supportive Housing Programs VON has been at service for many years. Illuminating Memories is initiated by the VON Palliative Care Program. Prior to the ceremony you can order a ball ornament and have it tagged with the name of your loved one. This ornament will be placed on the Tree of Life and displayed at the Recreation Complex where the ceremony will take place. Donations for the tags are welcome in support of the Palliative Care Program. VON is proud to host this meaningful celebration of family, friends and community. Everyone is welcome to join us inside the Recreation Complex on Wednesday December 1st at 7:00pm. Refreshments will be served.
