Description
Roofing Vancouver homes and businesses for over 60 years, Arbutus pioneered many of the roofing applications widely used today. As a full-service contractor, we can present a range of alternatives and help you choose the solution that’s right for you.
The success of this program is the responsibility of everyone in the company from top management to every employee. Only by working together can we provide a safe and secure work environment.
Technology has brought a lot of changes in the past 60 years. For one thing, distances are shorter, at least figuratively. Now Arbutus is just as much a Surrey roofing company, a Langley roofing company, and a Delta roofing company. With more than thirty roofing trucks and a state-of-the-art dispatch system, we’re all over the the lower mainland. Our estimators can measure your roof and give you a free estimate, no matter where your property is located, and they can usually do that the day you call.
Besides installation, we do maintenance work. We clear catch basins, clean interior and exterior sumps, check pumps, and clean driveway and parking lot troughs. We are commercial, residential, strata, and high-rise experts. And we provide 24 hour emergency service.
Without being technical about the chemical compounds involved, Torch On Roofing generally consists of two plies of Modified Bitumen Membrane. Each ply, or layer, is approximately 3 – 4 mm. thick. The base ply is either mechanically secured (with screws through large washers referred to as “plates”) or attached to the substrate with adhesive. The cap sheet is similar in composition, but often has a granulated surface to provide protection from the elements.
