Marites (Tess) Sison joined the Anglican Journal in 2003 and is a senior staff writer. An award-winning journalist, Sison has worked with the World Press Review in New York and the New York Times in its Jakarta, Bangkok and Hong Kong bureaus. She has also been a contributor to CBC Radio, Toronto Star , and the Toronto Sun . From 1987 through 2003, she was a fellow with the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism and has authored and co-authored several books.

Diana Swift is an award-winning writer and editor with 30 years’ experience in newspaper and magazine editing and production. In January 2011, she joined the Anglican Journal as a contributing editor.

Jane Thornton is graphic designer for the Anglican Journal and a valued member of the Graphics and Print Production Department for the national office of the Anglican Church of Canada. Jane recently joined the Journal’s team, and has worked with the national office and ABC Publishing since 1981.

For more than 150 years, about 180,000 First Nations, Inuit and Metis children were removed from their homes and sent to federally-funded schools managed by Anglican, Catholic, Presbyterian and United churches.
