Amsdell Inc. is a private held Canadian company incorporated in 1993 and it is divided into two corporate divisions, system integration and research & development. The company's system integration division provides built-to-order computer systems and networking solutions to the government, education and the corporate sectors. The company has been registered with ISO 9001:2000 since 1997. Established in mid 1997, the Research and Development Division revolutionized the power electronics industry by introducing the patented "Scalable Inverter" technology. This innovative technology replaced the iron-core transformers based conventional inverter products by silicon-controlled rectifiers and microprocessor controlled power management units. It has opened up new design flexibility for engineers to achieve much smaller, lightweight and high efficiency inverters for applications in industries such as computer, telecommunication, security, aerospace, kiosk and industrial automation etc. Amsdell has taken the lead in applying this all-new inverter technology by introducing the IPPS , Integrated Power Protection System.
