Altitude Publishing was founded in 1980 in the heart of the Canadian Rockies with a regional product line of high quality pictorial and guide books. The company can trace its origins back to the creative and entrepreneurial spirit of master photographer Byron Harmon who arrived in Banff in 1903. We remain committed to exploring and documenting, through text and photographs, the spectacular natural splendor and the incredible people and stories that make up Canada and the rest of North America. The company operates out of sales and distribution offices across the country. Altitude's product lines include calendars, non-fiction stories, historical guides, current-events titles, and educational products. Our trademarked series include SuperGuides, Amazing Stories, Late-Breaking Amazing Stories, and Amazing Photos. Altitude remains committed to providing books and calendars that are market sensitive and produced and manufactured in Canada to the highest quality standards.
