AMC Group (Alberta Mining Corporation) was founded over fifty years ago by Frank Ruben. Frank was a significant figure in the early development of Alberta's most important industries. He created North Canadian Oils Limited in 1947 - the first Alberta oil company to be listed on both the Toronto & America stock exchanges. He was also the founding force in the development of Alberta's forest products industry when he established Alberta's first pulp mill - North Western Pulp and Power Limited in 1951. Since then, two generations of the Ruben family have followed in Frank's footsteps by actively investing in, and developing, Alberta and Western Canadian business. AMC Group, in collaboration with clients and business partners, invests and participates in numerous industries and opportunities in Western Canada including: real estate development, technology, resort and hospitality industries.
