To assist in creating a positive environment for the enjoyment of equines. Through our leadership and proactive approach we promote, facilitate and co-ordinate equestrian related activities in Alberta. The Alberta Equestrian Federation is the member driven, non-profit Provincial organization responsible for the organizing, coordination, sanctioning and administering equine sport and recreation in Alberta since 1979. Membership is in excess of 11,000 individual members as well as over 100 member equine organizations and industry partners. AEF is the only Equestrian Body recognized by Alberta. Sport, Recreation, Parks and Wildlife Foundation as such they are the only body to directly receive funding and to have a voice within the Alberta Government on behalf of equestrians in Alberta. The AEF carries the voice on Alberta issues to the National level through the Provinces Division of Equine Canada and disseminates information from Equine Canada to it's members in Alberta.
