Description

Re-naming the AIDS Committee of London In 2007, after 23 years working in London, the AIDS Committee of London (ACOL) began serving a much broader geographical area. We are now committed to serve the six counties of Perth, Huron, Lambton, Elgin, Middlesex, and Oxford. Late in 2009, ACOL engaged in a strategic planning process with the broad goal of establishing a work plan that will position the agency to remain on the cutting edge of support, prevention and education regarding HIV/AIDS and related issues in its catchment area for years to come. Guided by a mission embedded with the value of working in partnership, the strategic planning process involved all stakeholders throughout our expanded region including PHAs and their families, formal community partners, funders, staff, our Board of Directors, and our many valued volunteers. Through the process many insightful observations and directions emerged including the need to reposition our identity to more accurately reflect the many diverse communities we serve. We invite all stakeholders including community partners, clients, volunteers, staff, board members, and any others interested in the important work we do, to participate in a contest to re-name the AIDS Committee of London. Deadline for submissions is end of day Friday, January 29 to dpratt@aidslondon.com
