Mr. Medina was appointed Vice President, Mexico in January 2011. He has worked with Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. in Mexico since 2007 as General Manager of the Pinos Altos project and the Regional Director of Agnico Eagle Mexico. Mr. Medina has more than 18 years of experience in the gold mining industry in Mexico and has participated in the permitting and development efforts at several successful mines in the country. He is a graduate of the University of CESUES in Sonora, Mexico with a degree in Environmental Engineering and graduated from the Harvard Business School General Management program.
Mr. Haldane is Senior Vice-President, Latin America and joined Agnico Eagle in May 2006. He is a graduate of the Montana School of Mines and Technology (B.S. Metallurgical Engineering) and has more than 30 years of combined experience in the precious metals and base metals industries. Mr.
Mr. Christie joined Agnico-Eagle in December 2012 as Vice President Investor Relations. Prior to that he worked in the investment industry for over 17 years, primarily as a precious and base metals mining analyst; his previous experience includes positions at Desjardins Securities, National Bank Financial, Canaccord Capital and HSBC Securities. Prior to working as an equity analyst, Mr. Christie spent 13 years in the mining industry as a geologist for a variety of mining companies, including Homestake, Billiton, Falconbridge Copper and Newmont Mining. Agnico Mines was formed in Canada in 1957 and was officially named Agnico Eagle Mines Limited in 1972 through the merger of Agnico Mines Limited, a prominent silver producer in Cobalt, Ontario, and Eagle Gold Mines Limited, a successful gold exploration company.
Mr. Stockford is a retired mining executive with almost 50 years of experience in the industry. Most recently he was Executive Vice-President of Aur Resources Inc. (Aur) and a director of Aur from 1984 until August 2007, when it was taken over by Teck Cominco Limited. Mr. Stockford has previously served as President of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario, the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and the Society of Economic Geologists.
