Aegis Strategic Investment Corp. is a privately owned investment management and services firm that provides and arranges private equity funds for acquisition, expansion, recapitalization and restructuring. Aegis specializes in acquisitions of manufacturers of industrial components, particularly for automotive and non-automotive original equipment manufacturers. We also provide capital in certain situations for start-ups and early-stage companies undergoing significant expansion, as well as management and other services related to the recapitalization and restructuring of businesses. Funding for transactions is provided by Aegis principals, high net worth individuals, venture capital funds and other private equity investors. Aegis has worked with several senior secured lenders in the past including: BMO - Bank of Montreal, Business Development Bank of Canada, GE Capital, RBC, CIT, Lasalle Bank, Comerica and First Union. We have also partnered with several institutional investors including: Working Ventures Canadian Fund, Covington Capital and Wynnchurch Capital. Aegis provides a broad range of services, including deal sourcing, due diligence reviews, business planning, contract negotiation, de-integration planning and implementation and post-acquisition review. We are backed by a strong team of professionals who possess extensive experience with manufacturing entities ranging from $3 million in revenues to $200 million. Aegis Strategic Investment Corp. is managed by Mark Heisz - President, founder and majority shareholder, and Mel Element - Vice President. In the past seven years, Aegis has participated in acquisitions with transaction value totaling in excess of $100 million.
