Alexander (Lex) D. Smith joined Adherex in May 2010 and is directing the manufacturing aspects of Adherex projects. Lex has over 25 years of experience in both large pharma and biotech companies drug development. He currently manages his own consulting company, ADS Pharma Consulting. Prior positions include 11 years in Pharmaceutical Development at Burroughs Wellcome Co., Director of Pharmaceutical Development, Triangle Pharmaceuticals, Inc. VP, Pharmaceutical Development Fulcrum Pharma Developments, and VP, Technical Development, Serenex, Inc.
Paul Dreyer joined Adherex in May 2012 and is responsible for all commercial development aspects of Adherex projects. Paul is currently President of his own consulting company and has over 30 years of commercial experience, particularly in developing new products and markets. Previous experience includes: Executive Vice President and Director positions of Sales, Marketing and Business Development at Burroughs Wellcome, GlaxoWellcome, Triangle Pharmaceuticals, and S&R Communications where he was President.

SIOPEL 6 is being conducted by The International Childhood Liver Tumour Strategy Group, SIOPEL, a group of medical specialists founded in 1987 under the umbrella of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP). The study was initiated in October 2007 and is expected to enroll 102 evaluable patients in up to 33 participating countries. As of October 2013, 80 children were enrolled.
Krysia joined Adherex in January 2010 and is the interim Chief Financial Officer. Krysia has over 15 years of experience in accounting and cost management. Currently she manages her own consulting company. Prior positions include Production Leader for Case Canada, Staff Accountant for the Wade Group, General Manager for Pneu-Hyd Industries, Controller for Moncure Plywood, and Senior Analyst for BCBNC. Krysia received a MBA from McMaster University and a BASc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
