acquisio is the world's leading developer of pay-per-click management software for agencies. The company was founded in 2003 by Benoit Allaire, Richard Couture and Marc Poirier. It is privately held and is based out of Montreal. Acquisio also owns Canada's premiere SEO shop, Canalytics, which serves some of Canada's best known banks, insurance companies, financial companies, universities, as well as a bevy of e-commerce shops and several B2B clients as well. Acquisio is financed in part by Stingray Capital and Gesca Digital Investments. In early 2000, acquisio president Marc Poirier was working for Komunic, a Montreal based company who produced internet marketing software (though, perhaps obviously, not pay per click management software). In his free time, spurred by a combined love for the Internet and his old hobby, walleye fishing, Marc started publishing a blog, and began experimenting with SEO and affiliate marketing.
