With over 40 years of service in custom compounding, Aclo Compounders Inc. has a rich history that has moulded it into the company it is today. Started back in 1964 by three Cambridge men, W. Pettit, A. Hussey and T. Turner, Aclo Compounders was a locally owned and operated compounder serving the needs of regional moulders. As the business grew it could no longer be sustained through its individual ownership and was sold to Crown, Cork & Seal in 1973. After several years in the business D. Young and D. Winter saw an opportunity to expand Aclo and took over full ownership from Crown, Cork & Seal in 1978. After operating the business, for 8 years, Young and Winter sold majority interest to Mitsubishi in 1986 in order to allow the company to meet its potential and have the capability to compete on a more international level. In 1990, Idemitsu Chemicals (USA) joined forces with Mitsubishi as a shareholder in the company and assisted Aclo with breaking into never before serviced markets...
