As with many things in life, you get what you pay for. We know the value of our inspections to our clients and we have built a reputation based on providing the greatest value for services provided. It is reasonable for you to shop around when you are looking to retain a home inspector, but be sure that when you make your final selection, the inspection you receive will truly meet your needs and expectations. In Ottawa, the fee range for home inspections when retaining a professional home inspector will be in the range from $375 (townhomes or condo apartments) to over $500 (for a large detached home). Fees are generally based on style and size of the home; simply put, the larger the home, the more time that will be required to inspect all areas and rooms of the home. We do not negotiate when we specify our fees. If you choose to use fees as your primary determinant for selecting a home inspector, then please do not use this to try to influence us to accept a lower fee. Our policy is that our fee will be what we state.

Based on our many years of experience in providing inspection services for purchasers, we find that sellers often don't think about how to best present a home to the buyer's inspector. Buyers may draw conclusions about a home's condition based on minor issues the seller could have easily addressed.
