LV maintenance: We provide the following annual, biennial and triennial maintenance services for over eighty in-service and spare 600V air circuit breakers: Primary and/or secondary current injection to ensure protective relay and trip circuit operation. Visual inspection. Cleaning, degreasing and lubrication. Electrical and mechanical functionality - open/close/trip operation and auxiliary contact operation. Contact resistance and insulation resistance testing.

We have compiled a manual for our own safe work procedures, based on the CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety Standard, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations (OHSR) and our many years of experience in the field. Team safety meetings are carried out at the beginning and conclusion of every job. Topics include scope of work, potential hazards and hazard mitigation, PPE selection and switching, lockout and grounding procedures.

We work closely with our customers to ensure that the project outcome meets their requirement for system functionality.

Equipment modernization: We provide ongoing recommendations for device and equipment replacement as needed, and provide installation services as desired by the client. The following is a selection of the work that we have done at their request. Retrofitting of 600V air circuit breakers throughout the facility with Utility Relay Company AC-PRO solid-state trip units, including new current transformers, shunt-trip coils and all associated control wiring. Replacement of overcurrent protective relays in the main 12.47KV electrical vault.
