AL-PACK Enterprises Ltd. was founded by Louis LeBlanc and Vernon Allen of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. The two owners worked together in sales for seven years at a local transport company. Although Vernon and Louis considered several ideas to start their own business, it all came together with packaging. Vernon had read an article on a new packaging product called Eco-Foam, a loose fill product made from corn. When the manufacturer was contacted, they were offered the rights to distribute the product in Atlantic Canada.
