Our monthly community partnership events allow our mentees and mentors to bond with other women and girls through new shared learning experiences, connections to networks, and exposure to community resources & issues. EmpowHERment isn’t just about mentee development; we provide a reciprocal growth opportunity where both the mentee and mentor realize their full potential and strengthen their voice, talent and network as leaders.

EmpowHERment, Inc. was founded in November 2012 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Prior to official incorporation, the organization began serving girls and women with the Annual Youth EmpowHERment Summit in the summer of 2011. After two transformational years of hosting the summit and empowering hundreds of girls and women through mentorship and workshops, it was time to formalize our efforts. The EmpowHERment founding Board of Directors and Leadership Team helped to shape the organizational mission and develop our three core pillars: Mentorship, Talent Development and Advocacy.

EmpowHERment provides mentors and activities dedicated to helping you develop your voice, while building your skills and confidence to use it. Girls in grades 6-12 are eligible to apply for our mentoring program. Only completed applications will be reviewed.

EmpowHERment exists to address a leaking pipeline in developing talent, opportunities, and equality for girls and women. Together, we can fix the leaking pipeline in our local communities and build a continuum of support for improved social, economic and political outcomes. Through our collaborative, outcomes based programming, we provide mentorship, talent development and advocacy platforms that empower girls and women to lead.
